What is the Dumha Goirt™ font?

Dumha Goirt is based on the Watts font used in the early 19th century. Dumha Goirt was first digitized in 1997 by Michael Everson and originally used the MacGaelic character set on the Macintosh platform, and ISO/IEC 8859-14 on the PC.
The older version of the font was named “Acaill”. In 2011 Dumha Goirt version 3 was released in OpenType format, completely compliant with Unicode encoding and with an extended character set. Dumha Goirt is pronounced [ˈduː ɡɔrʲtʲ]. This is a small village on Acaill where Edward Nangle had the Achill Island Mission which used the Watts type for Bibles and for the Rev. William Neilson’s “An Introduction to the Irish Language”. The town’s name was anglicized as Doogort [ˌduːˈɡɔɹt].

You won't be able to find Dumha Goirt™ as a free download, so I suggest that you just go ahead and pay for it and download Dumha Goirt™ HERE. You can find some other great options here on Jorgensen-fonts.com as well that will save you time looking around all over the web.

It is always best to pay for a premium font rather than trying to find an illegal download. The benefits of paying for Dumha Goirt™ are that you get the license, and if you're caught using it illegally there could be some potential legal implications with the publisher of this particular typeface.

Furthermore, when searching "free downloads" on Google, most websites will say they have them but these types of offers usually come at a cost - either something like high-pressure sales tactics or getting tricked into downloading malware onto your computer by malicious third parties who want access to all your personal information!

It's just too risky going about finding free fonts online.

If you really want Dumha Goirt™ and you want to truly own it the legal and safe way, then click here to visit the download and purchase page on MyFonts.com.
